Injury Shock Horror

Our tour guide to Hamburg and erstwhile scrum half, has been struck down with a shock knee injury. Wilsey damaged the knee in his warm up tournament in Portugal. The highly tuned athlete was not used to playing on an artificial pitch. Warning to all elder statesmen of the game, only play on grass as this dulls the pain as opposed to all of these modern synthetic imitations which apparently are designed to enhance the experience

The management are not yet panicking, we are consulting with our specialist in rugby injuries’, MR Gordon ‘it is only a bit of pain’ Henderson, who has assured me that 2 strips of insulating tape and a wean of stout will get anyone with a knee injury back on the park.

Late Call Up

Gary Crawford has found out about the trip and has forced himself into selection because he will be turning up in Hamburg arriving via Berlin and probably returning via the planet MARS. We believe that Min Callaghan may be to blame for this lapse in security. Stonesy is relieved that the prospect of proping may have receded.

Dress Code

Last week Gorgeous George Saunders, the tour fashionista, distributed the tour shirts to the home based players. The foreign based players will be presented with theirs on tour.

Gorgeous George has decreed that on match the dress code will be the Tour shirt and khaki chinos!!!!. It will be hard to miss us in Hamburg we shall be a ( massive) vision in PINK!!!!

Gorgeous has left the choice of the rest of the tour attire up to personal choice .

Gorgeous has recommended that pastel shades will be in this summer buts warns against Cherise as it clashes.

I dare anyone to go against the fashionista.

Training Update

Team preparation moved on Wednesday @ training.

Speed, agility, decision making were all attempted but I am still unsure as to the success of the whole exercise.

The team are hunger for work and it was all I could do to limit the workload so that they will not peak too early. The whole training regime is designed to unleash their pent up aggression and emotions on the big day. The problem is trying to work when that big day may occur for most of them.

Travel

My legal eagles have been advising Willie Walsh on the intricacies of the employment law and so far have been successful in keeping our flights on.

We must be vigilant and keep up the battle. I will be advising the Hon Treasurer of the legal bills incurred so far to keep the tour on
