It’s with profound sadness the President, Committee and members of Academy RFC learnt of the passing of our past player and committee member Robert McIlhagger.
Robert played for the club in late sixties and early seventies. He later served on the rugby committee where he acted as Chairman of Selection. This was a big job in those days when seven teams had to be selected each Monday night during the season!
Our sincere condolences are extended to Robert’s family circle.
